Completing this course does not certify, license, or independently qualify you to perform blood, body-fluid, or other hazardous cleanup work
This course does not replace required bloodborne pathogens training, employer-specific safety instruction, supervised practical training, or other requirements that apply to your work.
Under OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, employers with covered employees must provide appropriate training at initial assignment and at least annually thereafter.
Training must include an opportunity for interactive questions and answers with a knowledgeable trainer. Watching prerecorded videos alone does not fulfill that requirement. In-person instruction is not universally required; qualifying training may include remote interaction.
Before accepting or performing cleanup work, verify the federal, state, and local requirements that apply to your location and services. Obtain the necessary training, protective equipment, permits, and licenses, and follow applicable exposure-control and waste-handling procedures.
